MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SWIMMING AND SNORKELING EXPERIENCE OR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET IN THE WATER!!!
MUST BE comfortable in the water, be comfortable using floatation if needed (we have Ride Along option available for non-swimmers)
Must be in good health and fit condition, must be able to climb a short ladder
Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Great experience! We were given a very informative briefing from our Captain and they even provided snacks and drinks. Site is close to the marina, so it was quick and easy.. definitely recommend!

If we could give this activity 100 out of 5 we would. Truly amazing, must do activity - if you are adventurous. We saw between 6-10 manta rays! It was unbelievable! The experience is so unique it's hard to put into words. They are magical creatures and it's such a privilege to be able to see them up close. I recommend putting your phone/camera in a water safe case to capture this because people won't be able to believe it! The Hang Loose staff were amazing, very well run operation. Logistical notes: You should be a pretty good swimmer with the ability to float completely flat while holding on to the lighted float device. You can't let your legs dangle down or else it will scare the manta rays away. You should also be comfortable using a snorkel, there is no time for training. I would also suggest bringing a towel to dry yourself off during the ride back to the marina.

Obviously the most memorable portion of this experience was being up close with manta rays. They came so close that it looked like they were thinking of having you for a snack. I was bumped 3-4 times by these creatures. Simon and his crew were very professional and friendly. Simon’s commentary was a riot. Really enjoyed it. He also found us a GoPro at the last minute and we can’t wait to download the videos. If you’re looking for just one experience while in the Kona area, this is it. Highly recommend this cruise.
