North Shore Macadamia Nut Company
Next to Historic Haliewa Town lies a hidden culinary gem, a local Macadamia shop that finds itself tucked away under the comforting shade of an aged Banyan tree. These are the freshest macadamia nuts on the whole island of Oahu, creating a wonderful edible experience as you continue your day trip into the history of Hawaiian agriculture. Other culinary delights located here include authentic North Shore Acai Bowls or tasty Kona coffee samples.

Haleiwa Town Center
Your last stop on the North Shore is a step back in time to one of Oahuā€™s oldest towns. Originally built as a home for immigrant sugar plantation workers, Haliewa is now a quaint surf town, filled with a variety of boutique shops, surf shops, and shaved ice stops. As time has passed, the state has set up architectural guidelines requiring the design of existing buildings and newly erected buildings to reflect the plantation-style architecture of the early years of Haleiwaā€™s sugar industry which makes it a refreshing stop away from the bustling streets and tall buildings of Waikiki.
7
King Kamehameha Statue
Before returning to Waikiki and dropping off the guests, our guide will stop to see the King Kamehameha Statue. A perfect way to tie in some additional Hawaiian history on top of the agricultural lineage that they have just experienced through the day on the North Shore Dole Pineapple Tour.

Overall, it was a good experience. The booking experience was great. I have received a confirmation email and a confirmation text message before my trip. I knew exactly where I had to be for the tour. The bus arrived on time. Overall, I enjoyed my trip but this tour definitely needs some improvements. For example, the bus was extremely cold the entire time. I was freezing for the entire duration of the tour. I was wearing long sleeves shirt, pants, and sneakers. I also covered myself with a blanket while on the bus. A lady, who was sitting behind me, started sneezing approximately 30 minutes into the trip. She complained about very cold temperatures. A lady, who was sitting in front of me, also complained about freezing conditions. Other people on the bus mentioned the cold temperatures to the driver. The driver however, Ignored all complaints and repeatedly stated how hot she was. So, since the driver was hot, she continued to adjust the air to even colder setting. I was waiting for every stop of the bus so I could actually warm up. In addition to unbearable cold conditions on the bus, driverā€™s microphone/communication system was in horrible condition. There was never ending, extremely loud static the entire duration of the trip. The driver had some wonderful stories to share about the Hawaiian history and the islands. It was extremely difficult to hear what she was saying, due to the static. The company definitely needs to invest some money in upgrading the communication system on the bus. Finally, I wish the driver could take better control of the people on the bus. She continuously repeated the importance of wearing the mask while indoors. I wish, she also talked about the importance of giving her an opportunity to speak. Multiple people on the bus were talking to each other in a very loud manner. They were talking over the driver. While she was using the microphone, I could barely hear her because other people were talking nonstop. Driver should definitely take better control of the people and go over rules and regulations pertaining to general respect and allowing the driver to present her information so everybody can hear her properly. At the time when I was outside of the bus, I actually did enjoy myself. It was great to see the pineapple fields, different stages of the pineapple development, pineapple packaging, washing process, and preparation of pineapples for shipping. The driver stopped by an Army beach which was a great experience where I was able to see a few turtles in the water.

Our guide Rocky lead an amazing day of sight seeing. The experience of seeing the pineapple fields and the packing plant were fantastic, as someone who loves factory tours, this was a terrific experience. The food options available were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.
