My sister and I came to Oahu for our first time just the two of us. She had some surfing experience but I did not. I didn't have any high expectations for myself as a beginner to actually stand up and ride a wave. Our instructor Jacob was excellent, kind and patient with us and his instructions were clear and concise. I ended up catching quite a few waves during our lesson! I highly recommend this as an activity despite your skill level. As a fun bonus, my sister had a random encounter with a sea turtle while waiting for a wave. Such a cool experience!
