Chena Hot Springs Resort
After wandering through the cool museum, don your bathing suit and enjoy the resort’s legendary namesake. The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round. You can also soak under the stars in an outdoor hot tub, or indoors in the heated pool. In between, slip away to the Aurora Café or the historic Resort Restaurant, where you can purchase meals, snacks, or beverages. When ready, join your expert guide for a small-group outing to view the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will lead you through one of the best places on earth to witness the green and purple illuminations loop across the night sky. Wait and witness the celestial wonder with hot beverages in the late evening, when viewing opportunities are the highest. The lights are also visible inside the cafe's Aurora Room, which serves as a comfortable and warm location for viewings. Note: We can never guarantee the Northern lights sighting.

The description on the website and what you get don’t really match. Pretty disorganized. Springs pool house was pretty gross, if you don’t like germs, don’t pay for this tour. Ice house was semi-interesting, but not worth the admission. $15 apple (pucker) martinis (cheap vodka). They push you in and out too quickly, and few attendants to help. Almost all the attendants were rude or just hated life. Don’t worry about bringing your own snacks bc they have a restaurant there, but be prepared to pay a little bit more than normal. If you are looking for the northern lights, just do that with another tour.

Hello from North Pole. We are sorry that you didn’t have a good time at the Chena Hot Springs. However, this the page of your tour operator and this review is for the Chena Hot springs Resort. You might want to inform them directly about your concerns. We hope you enjoyed your trip to Alaska. Kind regards, your AWG team.

Nice tour guide. Unfortunately I did not realize the tour was only at the resort I was already staying. I couldn’t cancel as it stated no refunds. Missed the first 2 hours as they were picking up people from other areas. Paid over $500 (3 people) to tour the ice museum which is normally $15 per person.

Hello from North Pole, We would like to take a moment to explain what happened on this day. We reached out to you multiple times to make sure that you understand, what this tour would include for you, if you are staying at the Hot Springs Resort. The reply we received was: “we do understand this, but we didn’t know that we would be staying at this Resort, at the time of the tour booking.” Not even once was mentioned that you would like a refund. Furthermore, our policy and the tour description explain that our tours are nonrefundable and that we can only pick you up inside the city limits of Fairbanks and North Pole. This is made very clear, before booking, at the time of booking and in your confirmation mail. However, we like to help out our customers as much as we can and could have offered you a rain check, a transfer to a different person or even a different tour. It is difficult for us to help you out, if we are not being made aware of any issues, and are being told that our customers are happy with what they will receive. Our guide still tried to make your time as pleasant as possible. We still hope that you had a great stay at the Resort and that you enjoyed our beautiful Alaska. Kind regards, your AWG team

I booked tour to combine hot springs and northern lights experience. Guide Linsey was great and knowledgeable!🙂. Hot springs are amazing! Also you will have a chance to visit Ice Museum which is included in price. Unfortunately we couldn’t catch northern lights due to cloudy weather but Linsey tried her best to find it for us on our way back. No luck🤷🏼‍♀️ That’s the reason to come back next time😏 Thank you guys for that experience!
