Such an amazing experience from pick up to drop off. Our tour guide that night was Ricky. You can tell he’s such a genuine and amazing person and he did every thing in his power for us to see the lights. It’s hard to find tour guides like him who are really invested in your time and experiences. He was very knowledgeable of the state, the animals, the lights you name it. Very personable and funny. On the trip to Chena hot springs we all kept a look out for wild life and did get to stop to see some moose. First stop was the Aurora ice museum which was really “cool” and they offer an “appletini” served in an ice glass for those who wanted and was of age of course. Right after we had dinner at the restaurant located there. The food was good and there was no wait time luckily. After dinner we changed and went into the hot springs which was super relaxing and then off to see the lights. Filled up on some caffeine at the shop inside and off we went. Mind you that the entire time Ricky gave us tips and suggestions on what we should do first and he offered to put our name down on the waiting list for the restaurant so that we didn’t have to wait long to eat. One of the guests with us had a piece of her boot start falling off and Ricky right away went to help fix it for her. While we were all enjoying ourselves Ricky was on lookout for the lights and was ready to come get us anytime he saw something. When we left Chena, Ricky took us to some of the best spots for viewing. Finally around 1:30 am the lights started showing and we stopped to soak it all in. It’s honestly such an indescribable site and pictures definitely don’t do it justice. Overall had the most amazing time and it was worth every minute and penny of it. If I could give Ricky 10 stars I would. If you are able to pick a tour guide Ricky will not disappoint and if the lights are out there, he will find them. And if you do book and get him.. ask him about the wooly mammoth story 😂

This tour is awesome, particularly the hot springs! The ice museum is pretty neat, although it's rather small. The on-site restaurant serves a really good meal too. Our driver was super friendly and even joined our group for dinner at the restaurant.

We had a great hot spring tour with Ricky. The hot spring was awesome, I've been soaking in the spring almost 3 hours. However, it's cloudy at that day, we couldn't make the northern light tour. But the hot spring tour was awesome, and Ricky is a great tour guide, humor and talkative.
