Chena Hot Springs Resort
After wandering through the cool museum, don your bathing suit and enjoy the resort’s legendary namesake. The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round. You can also soak under the stars in an outdoor hot tub, or indoors in the heated pool. In between, slip away to the Aurora Café or the historic Resort Restaurant, where you can purchase meals, snacks, or beverages. When ready, join your expert guide for a small-group outing to view the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will lead you through one of the best places on earth to witness the green and purple illuminations loop across the night sky. Wait and witness the celestial wonder with hot beverages in the late evening, when viewing opportunities are the highest. The lights are also visible inside the cafe's Aurora Room, which serves as a comfortable and warm location for viewings. Note: We can never guarantee the Northern lights sighting.

Totally worth staying up all night! The hot springs at Chena resort were great but the best part was chasing the aurora. We got lucky and had clear visibility on our tour night. Our guide Jake was amazing he helped set up our iPhones so our pictures came out beautifully and he was just as excited as we were to see the northern lights. He was also very knowledgeable!

This tour is far the most amazing one I ever had . Jake our tour guide is awesome and really took his time and effort to chase the aurora for us . He even went out of his way to make sure we see a moose running along the highway! I definitely would recommend this company . Use them for all The tours you want to make

Do not sign up with this company!! Went with them on 3/26. They sent a Brand new guide/driver that knew nothing about Chena HotSprings, Fairbanks, or Alaska. No idea about the itinerary and the schedule. Stopped only for 10 minutes for N lights, and when it finally got more, he kept on driving. No idea where to stop for guests to take pictures/videos. What a waste of $…it has a 1 star because guide was able to get us back from a icy roads

Michael we are sorry to hear that you experienced this on your tour. Yes we did have a new driver for this tour as we had another one fall ill at the last minute. We did not want to cancel your tour to Chena Hot Springs which is why we asked another one of our drivers to drive this tour. Your driver has been on multiple Arctic Circle tours and is a local from Alaska. He had not been on this tour prior to Saturday so he was not fully versed in the itinerary of this tour but did not want to cancel this tour last minute. We will be speaking to our tour guides in the hopes that in the future the itineraries and photo opportunity stops are understood. Again, we are sorry that you had this experience on this tour and will make every effort to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
