We took the North western Fjords tour (9 hrs cruise)in July 2018. We had an amazing and adventurous cruise. Its a life time experience. Our Captain Tiffany was vigilant and her expertise in this profession was so evident by the way she handled the cruise ship. We had rough sea on the day we cruised, but Captain Tiffany drove the cruise ship with ease and took all efforts to keep the sailing smooth. We watched loads of wildlife - Humpback whales, Puffins, Stellar sea lions, seals, otters and so many marine birds. We got a very close look of the glaciers. And during the cruise, as we got deeper into the Fjords we witnessed hundreds of waterfalls (no exaggeration). And they took us to the closest view to some of the most important waterfalls that are picturesque. The crew members on board were very professional and they took utmost care of everyone to ensure that our journey was smooth and comfortable. They had complimentary Breakfast and Lunch on board which were sumptuous. They have both vegetarian and Non-veg options to choose from. Beverages are available throughout the cruise duration for a nominal fee. Overall, I would say it is 200% worth the amount paid for this cruise and I would highly recommend travellers taking this North western Kenai Fjords tour by Pursuit. Thank you guys for making our trip memorable.

It was a very nice trip with amazing scenery and wildlife. We were told the seas are going to be rough and weather warnings were issued because of previous night's storm. It was my birthday so we decided to take a chance and go for this long 9-hour trip. They said it would be the captain's decision if the weather was too rough to move forward and we would get a partial refund in that case. Also, motion sickness pills were recommended. But the weather was not as bad as I expected and we got to see orcas, humpback whales, puffins, harbor seals, sea lions, otters and many other pelagic birds (that were rare) because of the storm. Captain Sherry navigated the waters very well and gave a comprehensive guided tour of the landscape and wildlife we were seeing. The other staff members were fun as well who did everything from serving us food and beverages to spotting wildlife and taking our pictures against glaciers and waterfalls. We were able to see the Northwestern glacier calve which is a wonderful sight and the sound is like thunder. The food was the only thing I didn't like since I would have preferred a warm/hot meal rather than cold wraps especially in the rainy weather. Many people backed out because of the weather so the boat wasn't full and we could walk around anywhere on the boat, get good looks and photos despite the rainy, cold weather.

Booked this tour online. If you are driving, make sure you reach before time to go to parking area ( which is not that far) and get a shuttle to the boarding area. We got to see lots of whales, seals & birds . Main attraction was the glacier in action. Also they took us to few photographic locations (in front of a waterfall) . Crew was professional and helpful.
