I gave this 3 stars because we were happy to see Statue and Ellis but , I am describing some feedback for areas to improve. This could also notify guests of my experience so they can best choose what they purchase. We wanted to see Statue of liberty, not climb inside, but also Ellis island and I wanted to add 9/11 and ground zero since we all wanted that al well. First my ticket said we would leave the meeting spot at 8:45am and to arrive at 8:30am. We were in front of the Starbucks by ourselves until about 9am, another couple showed up and was also going to Statue and Ellis but had a different ticket and different meet time. We were confused, finally someone showed up from tour company and said we were in the right place and someone else was our guide. Finally our guide, Cheryl arrives around 830-945am, and talks to another couple, she takes us to the Ferry to see the Statue of liberty, walking through Battery Park she is in the lead of about 30 people and is speaking, we don't have any idea what she is saying, about 5 people hear her clearly and are in the front. I walked up front to tell her we cannot hear and I wanted to relay to our group, hoping she would try to let us all hear her "guided tour" but nope, not much help. After leaving statue we get back on ferry to Ellis island, here she does sit us down and talk a little at Ellis Island, thank goodness, I was worried I bought expensive tickets without any guide. She is a local and knowledgeable jsut couldn't hear anything she said, and she mostly walked us to the spot for picture op. She gives a time to leave on the ferry, for those going to ground zero/ and the 9/11 tickets and lets us roam the island on our own with the free audio tour for all persons attending. We left before 1pm. IN hindsight we should have only done the Statue and Ellis island tour and did 9/11 and ground zero on our own. We ran so late that by the time we got to ground zero it was 2pm, we had not had lunch and were so hungry. She spoke for about 5 minutes at ground zero near the remembrance pools and left. This was not worth a separate ticket or payment to a guide. If you want this tour, just do statue and Ellis island or if you want, just get the tickets on your own and skip the guide, read up and get the audio guide at the site and do it on your own time. Don't get the entire package, it is not worth it. Once we were done with lunch we went to 9/11 museum, a line to get in, even though we had tickets and we were rushed, bc we had a reservation uptown at 520, thinking this tour would not take over 8 hours.

Very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. She definetly loves what she does. Definetly opens your senses to what the real history of these places is and makes you apreciate more where we all came from and the struggles of the people that made this the land of opportunity.
