We took the NYC Sightseeing Pass for 2 Days with options of a night tour and a Liberty Cruise (but couldn't do it all - as below). I do NOT recommend this company. Where do I start? disorganised, unsafe driving, lack of information, misleading, insufficient tours / information about what is provided. LACK OF INFORMATION: the information provided on the 40 or so cm of "ticket" contained information that was needed beforehand, to allow planning the 2 days to get the most out of it (and no one said to read it - it looked like any other receipt's fine print. So we did not get maximum benefit (as we did not know what questions to ask beforehand - and no-one selling tickets on the street volunteered info) INSUFFICIENT TOURS: the Bronx and Brooklyn tours are run once a day - this should be more often (looking at the popularity). Also, they can't be done in one day, and the website doesn't tell you that. THE NIGHT TOUR: by the time the first bus was meant to leave there were enough people for 2 busses - but there was a 2nd bus already there (obviously very popular) DISORGANISED: we arrived for the Bronx tour, and we were moved 3 times as no-one seemed to know where we were meant to line up (this is run every day) RIPPED OFF: the website advertised $44- online special per ticket, but the App didn't work, so we had to buy them from an operator and were charged $49- per ticket plus $5-Ticketing fee! UNSAFE DRIVING: the driver of one bus took off while people were still climbing up the wet, steep stairs - on a rainy day - disregarding passenger safety MISLEADING INFORMATION about the cruise: the website says one thing (simply hop off at the nearby bus stop ) but the 40cm of paper spewed out when you buy the ticket says something else (no admission without reservation) - and no one says to read the fine print. CONFUSION: We got off at the Museum of New York (worth the visit), but the driver didn't seem to know he was meant to stop there (even though there was another Top View bus there! Hardly surprising, given he seemed to have got lost prior and backtracked (but didn't say anything - hoped we wouldn't notice?). - the driver picking us up from there seemed to realise it was a stop when he was almost past (with 15 people waiting!) ANNOYING: Much as I like the song "New York", hearing it and 7 other songs played endlessly for 2 days and a night is a bit much!

We’re just back from NYC where I’d pre-booked a 5 day pass with Top View including Statue of Liberty Cruise (which we didn’t do in the end as we’d already been out on The Hudson twice that week). Overall based on our experience I’d give them 7.5 out of 10. There were 3 issues that caused some annoyance but in mitigation the first one was traffic related. 1. At Chelsea Pier we had to wait 50 mins for the Bus, after just missing one. 2. At 5pm there must have been a change of shifts as we were all booted off the bus at 8th ave, refused entry to the next one and had to wait 10 mins for a driver on the bus we alighted on at the start of the downtown tour on 46th st. I think. 3. One of of our trips we only wanted to go from 7th ave to Macy’s at 34th St and opted to sit downstairs as it was full up top. There was no air con on that particular bus and boy was it hot! Those aside we found the bus experience absolutely fine, we didn’t have to wait long for any other buses to come along and the bus drivers were very helpful. I see some reviewers complain about the audio head phone commentary and not having a live guide but the narrative around the key tourist points was fine - yes there’s lots of NY related songs in between but it’s important to appreciate that around 7th Ave, through Time Square and up 8th Ave on the Downtown route the bus is crawling through NYC traffic and it would be quicker to walk. As soon as the bus gets to a tourist attraction the music stops and the commentary kicks in. Free headphones on entry btw. We booked on line ahead of our visit but there is (literally) an army of Street sellers who will try and sell you tickets, competing alongside other firms. You also need to download their app on to your mobile if you order on line as the phone becomes your ticket. Screen shots of your ticket will not get you on the bus. The uptown tour we did on Sunday 28th was very good as well. I’d not been on Trip Advisor prior to booking and didn’t see all the negative reviews but our experience was a good one, and fair play to those drivers for doing that job all day long!

We purchased a 5 day pass and regret it now. Middle of summer and 2 buses we were on had no air conditioning or ventilation. Driver advised sorry it’s broken if you like get off and take another bus! No guarantee the air con is working on that one. People could not get on the bus at some stops as too many people. The WiFi is promoted as free but this is only for 10 minutes then you need to pay. It takes approx 1 hour to travel 4 stops what we could do in a 20 minute walk takes approx 80 minutes so don’t get on the bus at stop 1. Staff are rude and very dissatisfied.
