Dante is so fun and full of energy. He was patient with the kids and very knowledgeable about the city. Oh and he's amazing with names. Our group had 14 people and he remembered all our names! The food was great and the eateries were all close by. The walk was easy enough for the two kids who joined in on the tour. And there was so.much.food. Save your appetite. We were all super full by the end of the tour.

I live in Manhattan took this walking tour with friends in from Hawaii. I didn't expect any places that were new for me having lived here for 25+ years and having taken several other LES food walking tours in the past, but there are some hidden gems on this tour and I was really impressed by Dante. He's got a true passion for the food, but also the people and the story behind the food. He knew everyone's name in minutes and had a genuine interest in knowing more about us and making sure everyone had a good time. Even got into the riddles that the kids lobbed his way in between stops. The portions were more than generous and there was a really nice variety of old school and new places. It's an easy leisurely stroll with a few fun LES facts along the way but this tour is more about the food than the history of the neighborhood (walk off the eats at the Tenement Museum nearby after if you want a heavier dose of history). As a vegetarian, I thought I'd have to "opt out" of a lot of stops but he was really accommodating and had delicious alternatives ready at the waiting. Very smooth also as he ordered in advance so no waiting around for our tastings. Definitely recommend to both visitors and NYers alike!

Awesome time. Very knowledgeable guide and had some awesome food. Katz Deli was my favorite. Would do it again and look forward to scheduling other tours with Dante.
