Tour was a small group. Well managed with a broad assortment of things to taste. Dante provided historical and personal anecdotes.

You can tell Dante loves what he does and enjoys meeting people along the way! Before the trip Dante was super helpful as we made plans to visit NYC. Day of the tour we received text updates and knew exactly where and how to meet him. The tour itself left us with some interesting facts about the area and restaurants, and of course filled bellies! We've done food tours before, and Dante gave us the right balance of leaving us full, but not overwhelmed or wanting! The variety of food was great, and loved knowing we were visiting places only Dante himself would want to eat at. The walking was at a slow/decent pace and either very short to moderate distances; we were lucky to have seating at each place we visited, giving plenty of opportunity to rest in between. The other attendees were great, and conversation flowed easily and naturally between everyone. This is a great way to see parts of the city, try new food, and meet new people! Can't wait to visit again and try the Greenwich tour.

I highly recommend this tour if you want to visit authentic, tasty, historic, famous and some hidden gems of restaurants and eateries in the Lower East Side. My wife and I enjoyed every stop. The food started off great and only got better as the tour went along. Highlights include the pastrami from Katz deli and Vanessaā€™s dumplings. You could go to these iconic and yummy places on your own, but you would miss the camaraderie of your fellow tourists and the insightful, funny, and friendly tour guide Dante. Dante takes care of everything. All the food is already paid for and Dante is able to cut long lines to get the samples for the tour group making the experience hassle free and VIP. Danteā€™s friendly banter with the the vendors and merchants was part of the fun. Also the food and locations are very photogenic, so donā€™t forget your camera. The portions are perfect so you feel satisfied without feeling stuffed at the end of the tour. You could feel stuffed if you take advantage of all the second helpings Dante offers along the way. It is a walking tour, but Dante paces the destinations out perfectly with hilarious stories and fascinating history lessons in between the stops. This tour was definitely a highlight of our NYC vacation and I would highly recommend it to family and friends. I am eager to take his other food tour next time in NYC.
