Had a great day out on a sightseeing tour in New York on a very cold November day. NY can be a bit overwhelming, especially if on your own as I was, so I recommend joining a group tour, meeting friendly people and getting shown the sights. Our guide, Jenn, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made the day fun and interesting, despite eye-wateringly cold temperatures. The Combo Tour, from New York Tour 1 includes some easy walking, a bus ride, and a ferry past the Statue of Liberty.

My daughter (age 16) and I visited colleges on the east coast and wanted to do a quick stop in NYC. I searched Travelocity for highly rated, affordable tours that hit a lot of the must see spots as we hadn’t been there before and found this tour. We had no problem meeting up with our tour guide, fellow Hoosier, Jenn Andres, at the designated time and spot....(although I think she’s officially considered a New Yorker now!) It was exciting for us as we got to see Andy Cohen filming on the today show as it was directly across from the meeting spot. Jenn promptly arranged for the double decker bus and off we went. Jenn did a great job pointing out the sights and providing us with interest facts about the city, its’ culture and its’ history. Bottom line, we had a fantastic tour of the city with Jenn and really enjoyed it! She offered a lot of customized information for us to check out afterwards such as a reputable site to get same day show tickets (we saw Mean Girls) and a discount store for designer goods/purses. We also felt like we received VIP treatment at the ferry as Jenn had some connections on that portion of the tour that provided a skip the line opportunity. I plan to contact with Jenn for additional tours when I am back in the city and highly recommend her as a knowledgeable, safe and fun guide!
