Absolutely breathtaking views!! We were lucky enough to be there for sunset, and it was amazing. We also had dinner at the restaurant, and it was delicious- with the same fabulous views.

Even though the skies were overcast, the views were amazing. The elevator ride up and down were the highlight of our conversations throughout the day. One of our group was our foreign exchange student from Brazil and two were family members from Oklahoma...everyone was overwhelmed with the entire experience.

This gets two stars and not one because the service at the restaurant was AMAZING. Bottom line is I paid $350 for a nice dinner for 2 at the top of a tall building and didn't get to see the observation level. On December 9th my wife and I bought the no line VIP tickets with a 1-5pm flexible entry since we were visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum beforehand and we didn't want to be rushed. We arrived at 4:30pm and had no issue getting in - in fact there were no lines that I could see for any level of ticket. You first go up an elevator with a group and then wait to see a video and cityscape reveal - the reveal part was cool when you see just how high up you are. We made it through all that and the gift shop they leave you in by about 5pm. We then encountered the café and restaurant and decided to eat first and then go to the observation level after since they could get a table for us right away. Dinner was great! It came out to about $200 for dinner with 2 meals and a bottle of wine when tip was added. It's NYC and was on par for cost and quality with other dinners we had in Midtown. It was fun to look down on the city, even if we weren't right up against a window. Our server and service was GREAT. We finished eating just after 6pm and we go down the escalator to the observation level and were shocked to be told to leave immediately because they were closed. Mind you, the restaurant was still bustling and there were no announcements of any kind. The kid said we could take pictures from where we made it to the elevator, which was maybe 1/8 of the way around. We go to the glass and were told by the elevator people we can't take pictures and we need to leave immediately. To say I was furious and disappointed was an understatement. These were just kids working so I held my tongue as it clearly isn't their decision to run things this way. So between the 2 VIP Observatory tickets and the $200 meal, I spent $350 for a nice dinner at the top of a tall building and got yelled at to leave if I tried to even look out a window on the observation level.

Thank you for visiting and for leaving a review. Our restaurant team works hard to deliver exceptional service and delicious food, so we are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal. We are, however, very sorry to hear that the rest of your experience did not match with the one you had at ONE Dine. Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] and share your preference of email or call to discuss in more detail. Sincerely, Delfin Ortiz, General Manager, One World Observatory
