Unique elevator ride and stunning views. The grand entrance and reveal is amazing. Highly recommend reserving your tickets ahead of time - all times entry. Security staff is extremely rude, be aware! They put our children on the spot two times because they don’t have student ids. Gave COvid card, they are only 13 and we are from the south. Finally stopped harassing us about the Id when I asked “ would you be harassing them if this was a voting booth? You don’t want ids to be presented for people to vote for President but you want them to access the observatory? Don’t let typical New Yorker conduct sway you from enjoying the experience.

Bought the skip the line tickets and this worked well for our family of 9 people. The only thing that could had improved would had been a clearly marked lane specific to this skip the line ticket. When we arrived it was unclear how we skip the long line outside. We sent one person in to the lobby (by jumping in front of people - who weren’t happy about me jumping in front of them). Then I asked someone inside and they told me to bring my family through the adjacent turnstile door to skip the line. So the line skip worked well, but a clearly marked lane would surely have made it much smoother and prevented me from having to upset other guests who were in a regular line. Overall we all loved this observation deck and we preferred it to the Top of the Rock observation deck.

It is truly an incredible view and would absolutely recommend to everyone. I would be surprised if we didn’t go back next time we are in NYC. Had a burger and a flight of beers as well which was pretty affordable considering the incredible view.
