I didn’t do Skip The Line, but during the pandemic, the lines were almost non-existent when we visited on a Sunday, 2 hrs before sunset. We bought regular admission tickets for $30 each on Groupon. The Tour Ambassador Captain, Emma, as well as Mike M and Philip made our visit better than it already was. The views in all directions were so clear the day we visited and we saw rain, rainbows, cruise ships, helicopters, ferries, skyscrapers, traffic and views of more than 40 miles. The Sky Pods go to the top in 47 seconds and you don’t even feel it except for some slight ear-popping. The inside of the elevator has a great visual show about the city growing up through time. I wouldn’t bother buying the extra iPad rental ($15) but I think that’s mainly because I’m familiar with most of the sites. The concessions are overpriced which isn’t unexpected for this type of attraction. I visited with 2 friends who had never been to NYC before and loved it.
