Getting to the observatory at, or just before sundown gives the opportunity to view Manhattan and surrounds in daylight and with the amazing light shows.

The views are breathtaking / spectacular and elevator ride was smooth, short and entertaining. The tickets are expensive but definitely a good experience to see the world from above.
