“Skip the line” was more like “skip a small line to buy the ticket and wait in many more lines.” Priority access didn’t look much better. First you get in the line for your assigned time, then you wait in line for security, then you wait in a very long line for the elevator to go up. Once you get to the top, you wait to watch a mandatory movie. Then the movie ends and you wait for the doors to open. The actual windows are not that large, and there’s not really much up there. But wait, there’s more - the line to exit is actually the longest!!!

NYC One World Observatory is a not-to-be-missed stop on any tour of NYC. The long range views are spectacular. The facility is excellent and appears well run. I have now done all three "top of" views and this one has by far the best total view. I recommend Empire State Bldg and Top of the Rock for a more immersive experience, particularly in the evening. Their location makes them more surrounded by lights. But One World will let you se more and at farther distances during the day.

The lines were HORRIBLE both getting in and especially going out. The line for the elevator heading down was incredibly long and the skip the line pass didn’t help all that much. There are so many people inside the observatory at all times and it’s loud, confusing and claustrophobic. But, the view is great and one of a kind. If you don’t have a problem with any of the conditions I would recommend going. Otherwise I would do the top of the Rockefeller Center or Empire State Building.
