In the late 1990's, I had gone to the observation floor of the World Trade Center. I was excited to be able to now go to the observation floors of the new building. It felt like coming full circle. The elevator ride up goes by fast, but watching the simulated changes of the area was great. Once you get to the top, the views are wonderful. I didn't spend a lot of time there, as I did just a quick run-through. Upon exiting, I ended up in the adjoining Oculus, which was a very happy accident. The architecture is wonderful. After a little research afterwards, I now realize that I should have gone outside to see the Oculus from that vantage point also.

What fantastic views! Amazing!! Get the Skip the Lines ticket... completely worth it! We were able to go ahead of 100s of people to get in and to get out. The iPads you get while you're there with those tickets are really great as well. Tons of information!

The view of New York city in all directions from One World Observatory was worth seeing. Beautiful views of uptown, the bridges, rivers, statue of liberty, Ellis Island and the boroughs. We saved time in lines by getting tickets in advance online. They moved people up and back down the tower efficiently.The elevator ride was fast and smooth with some cool graphics. We rented one iPad for $15 when we got to the top. You point it north, south, east or west and it identifies some of the major buildings, bridges and places in that direction. We thought it was worth getting one to share. They also had a bar on top.
