Went on the Statue of Liberty boat cruise this afternoon. Had a great time thanks to Wesley our tour guide who not only has a fantastic knowledge of New Yorks history but also has a great sense of humour.

We took the train to get on the Staten Island Ferry and as soon as we got up the stairs the water taxi people were there telling us how much better it would be to see the Statue of Liberty from the water taxi, they were not giving up and it was raining so we gave in only to purchase tickets and have to walk in the rain to the dock to catch the taxi and it was not a short walk, they should have mentioned this before we brought the tickets, I would have most definitely took the ferry. They should have some kind of transportation to get you to the correct dock. The trip was quick they stopped in front of the Statue of Liberty for everyone to take pictures for a few minutes, the only good thing was we rode the taxi back to Times Square and that saved us a train ride.

Went on the ferry to Staten Island instead of the ferry to Statue of Liberty and it was great. Amazing views of NYC, and Statue of Liberty. Clean, staff was helpful and plenty of space.
