Three days in a row we were turned away because they were full. Each time we were turned away we had wasted money on a car to get there and we wasted precious time we could've spent sightseeing. On the day that we were able to wait in the line we were waiting in the sun for 30 minutes and they told us our line was for the 1 PM. I had specifically asked if it was for the 11 AM and he said yes. As it turned out that one was already full and he was just trying to keep us in the line. Three hours later we board the boat we are on the top deck and the boat was moving at a glacial pace. While they did mention the major landmarks we were expecting more history on these buildings and they focused on celebrities. Overall not worth the three hour wait or the struggle to try and coordinate a picture of the statue if they only rotated the boat for a minute and left. I'd recommend doing a tour with statue cruises. They are more organized and you get to actually step foot on the island with the Statue of Liberty. Even a round-trip ride on the free Staten Island ferry is nicer than this overpriced, time-consuming, bland tour.

`I was looking forward to taking my grandchildren 7 and 11 on this boat ride. They seemed to have liked it but my daughter husband and I were not too happy. Our guide Tony was pleasant and funny and the crew was nice but the ride it self was a bit dull.We thought we were going to go by the Brooklyn Bridge or get closer to the sites The boat had to pick up other passengers so we had to wait until they boarded. I wasn't happy about that. They didn't tell us until the last minute. The women's rest room toilet was clogged so it was kind of disgusting. We sat on the upper deck which was nice and breezy, The only thing we all enjoyed was seeing the Statue Of Liberty, We took some great pictures. Later we went downstairs and bought some water and chips. It was a relaxing ride but we just thought for the price it could have been better. I think next time I will check the other tours and see if they have something better,

I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before I went on this trip as I may not have gone. Firstly it went from Slip 5 which I believe is a new thing - it did take us 10 minutes to find the location as it was a little hidden - they don't have a lot of sailing so all appears to be really busy and we had to wait just over half an hour before boarding and the queue was long - however we got on and found room and had a great tour, we did go to about her point where people could get off/on (we could have if desired) but all the way there there was excellent commentary from Wesley telling us all about New York, on the way back we saw Liberty herself and once again had plenty of time to take lots of pictures, Wesley made sure he turned the boat so everyone had some to admire her. He really made the cruise and I really couldn't fault it - I would just like to add that s lot of the whinges from other reviewers were clear as day to us and all the information they are complaining about was clear on the information leaflet and the tickets!
