My kids are young adults now, and none of us are interested in the crowded and shopper-oriented tourist attractions when we visit NYC. The crew was friendly, competent yet casual, and they didn't talk us to death, just let us enjoy this beautiful hour and a half on the water. The North Cove is right by Hudson Eats (food court), so we built our entire day around our Manhatten by Sail booking and discovered a part of Manhatten we hope to visit again.

We booked in line with confirmation numbers. We drive in to the city and find out on arrival that our time was cancelled. They informed by email not text so we did not get the message in time. The salesperson at the dock was too busy talking to a friend and had to be convinced to help us rebook to the next time. The sail was very nice with a friendly crew. Not a lot of narrative but great views of Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and then of the downtown skyline. If you get seasick be prepared for rocking. It is also an all weather activity so you could be out in the rain. Great activity for a hot day but take hats and sunscreen

After an exhausting final morning walking around Manhattan, we were relaxing in Battery Park, and came across this Clipper City sailing ship. We had a final excursion to book on our NYC Explorer Pass and they had space available, so we climbed aboard. What an experience! The crew were all friendly, they asked for volunteers to help hoist the sails, had a bar open, and ensured we were all having a great time, without being overbearing. There was enough room for everyone to move around freely, the sights were amazing, out to the Statue of Liberty, past Ellis Island, and slowly back again to Battery Park. The sailing ship was smooth, so no one felt sea sick. There is a toilet on board Crew kept all the ropes neat and tidy. Overall it was a fabulous way to end our trip to NYC, highly recommended
