We went on the locals food tour today and it was fantastic! They picked us up at our hotel and took us to several different local gems. We tried pastries, seafood at a great local fish market, delicious Giovanni's shrimp, and ended with famous Hawaiian shaved ice. Our tour guide was great! He told us all about the history of Hawaii and Hawaiian culture as he drove us to the multiple eateries. He also gave us several suggestions of where to eat and drink around our hotel and the best tours to take. I recommend doing this in the beginning of your trip so you have time to go to the recommendations.

I highly recommend this fantastic, small group tour that gives you a tasty introduction to some of Hawaii's popular foods. We had Victor as our guide and he was awesome. Very friendly, easy to talk to and accommodating. He took time to get to know everyone in the group and was happy to answer any of our questions and share his tips and recommendations for other food options and activities. The foods we tried were all delicious. The variety, quality and quantity of the poke was my favourite (you will have left overs to take with you - I had enough for my lunch the next day).
