We spent two weeks in Hawaii and this was our BEST adventure. This exceeded our expectations by far. We figured we'd see a shark or two as they swam by us. Never would we have guessed that 8-10 sharks would be swimming around us the entire 20 minutes that we were in the cage! We went at 7am so we had calm water. The water was warmer than we expected it to be, too. The crew running the boat was friendly and personable. I would tell anyone going to Oahu that North Shore Shark Adventures is the place to go. If you have to pick one pricey treat, pick this one! You won't be disappointed!!

This is my 3rd or 4th time doing this with North Shore Shark Adventures. The first three times were in 2004-2005 when I lived on Oahu. North Shore Shark Adventures was the only company doing this back then so I fee they have the most experience. Shark sightings are guaranteed and we did see sharks, however we did not see as many this time as I used to see back in 2004-2005. I think the reason not as many sharks were present this time was due to Hawaii making it illegal for the boat crew to chum the water with raw fish scraps from local restaurants. The crew was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I really wish I could remember their names but I'm writing this review almost two weeks after we did the event. One of our deckhands was a spitting image of what I would imagine an adult son of Dwayne Johnson to look like and I can't emphasize enough on how great the crew was and how friendly and knowledgeable they were. The only downside to the tour was the lady in the little booth in the marina where we checked in. We were on the 7am tour and arrived about 10 minutes earlier than we were told to be there. While the lady was in the booth and appeared ready to go (a tour leaves at 6am so she had already worked one group) her tone and attitude just gave the impression that she was either not happy to be there or we were bothering her by checking in and she just came off as rude. Other than the lady in the marina this was once again a great activity and one I will continue to do when in Oahu.

We loved every minute of our shark dive! We booked a couple days before online but there weren't a lot of spots left - we were lucky we got an early slot. I highly recommend going as early as possible as the waters get really choppy later in the day. We went out at 8:30 am and the water started to get a little choppy during the way back to shore. The staff were great at giving us interesting shark facts, including other animals, funny stories, tips on where to eat around the island and all around great couple of guys. The dive itself was amazing - we saw so many sharks of all different sizes. If you're on the fence about doing this... dive right into it! You won't regret it.
