Join us on a breathtakingly beautiful, private and guided adventure throughout the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains in one of our State-of-the-Art Overland Jeep Rubicons in total comfort. Your host will be a Terra Overland off-road Adventure Guide who will chauffeur the vehicle, share knowledge about your adventure, answer questions, and provide off-road driving instruction* and techniques necessary to traverse the particular terrain of the Adventure you choose.

From beginning to end this road trip is phenomenal! For the adventurer this is an Absolute must!! Before our road trip started a full safety meeting to include emergency situations and vehicle functions. The driver was very professional ,very courteous and very knowledgeable not only for the off road experience but also the surrounding area to include national forests … etc. Thank you very much for having us can’t wait to do it again!!!

Terra Overland far exceeded our expectations! We have been looking for something like this for a very long time and couldn't believe someone finally made it a business here in Virginia, just a few hours away. We live in the Tidewater area, so the potential for damaging our daily driver 4X4 on an obstacle, or even a simple mechanical issue and not being able to get home was always in the back of our minds, particularly in an area we are unfamiliar with. From novice to expert, it doesn't matter though. If this is the first time you have driven off-road or you have been doing it forever, this is for anyone of any skill level. They provide easy to drive, highly capable jeeps you wish you could afford to build yourself with all the mods/gear/equipment that can handle any terrain, including winch/tent/fridge/onboard air compressor/trail map on a tablet/radios to name just a few. You're not limited to just the 2 routes on the website either...they are just start points. They offer tailored plans/routes depending on where you want to go and what you want to accomplish, whether for the day or overnight. You can have a highly experienced guide the first time or two, or go by yourselves. It will NEVER be the same experience twice. We chose to do the Flagpole to Reddish Knob trip with Shawn. It is somewhere I've always wanted to try, but was unsure if I could make it in my 2020 F-150 after watching some of the YouTube videos. Thank goodness we got to explore it with Terra Overland as my truck's width long wheelbase would have gotten me in some uncomfortable situations not to mention pinstriped it. Alpha One (Jeep) was incredible and there was nothing there that it could not handle. It was a beast and yet so easy to drive! Shawn was a great guide/instructor and a great person to learn from with amazing patience. He ensured we got the most of out our day and we had many opportunities to challenge ourselves with various obstacles on different trails/conditions. There were few other drivers on the trails when we went just before an approaching snowstorm, so we had time to to do other trails as well. Shawn was always happy to let us find the limits we were comfortable with and ensured we got the most of out of our day. We now know we can get on the trails and do some serious off-roading without all the expense of buying/building our own rig. We will definitely be back to do other trails in area with Terra before the word gets out.
