It was my family's first time in NYC so we had never seen Central Park. So, what better way to see the park than a horse-drawn carriage ride! We all thoroughly enjoyed it. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our driver, Jill was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable! My three girls particularly liked our horse Nick who allowed them to feed him carrots! We had a wonderful time and will be planning another trip to NYC as well as another horse carriage ride!!

There are numerous horse carriage companies to choose from in NYC, but this one had the nicest carriages, the horses looked much, much healthier and the drivers were better dressed and mannered than the other companies. NYC Horse Carriage Rides appears to be a smaller company with only a few carriages, but they seem to be a much better run business without the hard sell salesmen hawking their services. Our driver was a Scottish fellow named Sean who was extremely knowledgable about the city, the park and the care and training of his horse...we couldn't have asked for a better tour. The online reservation process with the text and email reminders were very helpful. They are very insistent about showing up at least 20 mins. prior to the start time, so tourists (like us) should be aware that getting to the carriage pick-up area at the south edge of central park can be very time consuming with all the peak summer traffic...it took us nearly 45 mins to get there from Times Square in a cab. I would highly recommend using NYC Horse Carriage Rides.

My husband I visited nyc for the first time and we decided to do the carriage ride around Central Park. It was the best decision we made! Our driver was so informative and nice! We had a blast!
