What To Expect

Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

This is a self-guided tour. Parking is available around the site in lots and with meters on the street. Be sure to download the App for tours and more information. The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 6PM and on Sunday from noon to 6PM. The Museum is closed Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The Outdoor Symbolic Memorial is a place of quiet reflection and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Designed by Butzer Design Partnership, this Memorial honors the victims, survivors, rescuers, and all who were changed forever on April 19, 1995. It encompasses the now-sacred soil where the Murrah Building once stood, as well as the surrounding area devastated during the attack.

If you visit Oklahoma, the Memorial should be on your list. It speaks not only of the horror and loss of life, but the resilience of the people of Oklahoma. How they came together that day in strength and heartbreak to help others. Their ability to remember with great love the family and friends loss that day and celebrate their life

This memorial was very touching even after seeing it for the second time. Our kids had read about it in their history class so they thought it was very sad someone could be that terrible to harm so many.

We were in Oklahoma City for business. 2 of us walked from the Colcord Hotel to the Memorial. I'm glad we did! We were both brought to tears. It was so well done and authentic. The pictures, bombing pieces, rubble etc. It is worth the price of admission & then some.
