What To Expect

Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

This is a self-guided tour. Parking is available around the site in lots and with meters on the street. Be sure to download the App for tours and more information. The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 6PM and on Sunday from noon to 6PM. The Museum is closed Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The Outdoor Symbolic Memorial is a place of quiet reflection and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Designed by Butzer Design Partnership, this Memorial honors the victims, survivors, rescuers, and all who were changed forever on April 19, 1995. It encompasses the now-sacred soil where the Murrah Building once stood, as well as the surrounding area devastated during the attack.

A good display of the carnage that took place. It is a moving exhibit that personalizes the murder of so many people. The only down side is it is straight out of the party line. No mention of the plastic explosives in the basement or that the ATF was seen placing it there. You have to watch A Noble Lie online to learn the scientific facts of why it is a fiction that McVay detonated the sole bomb.

Must see and experience the grounds and museum incredible the great job they did in giving the visitors the feel of the devastation in what surreal evil that happened to us over 25 years ago by a young man from Michigan.

Had to stop by and pay my respects for those who lost their lives in the OKC bombing. Each exhibit gave me chills and learned a lot about the bombing and the amazing first responders and community who came together!
