What To Expect

Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

This is a self-guided tour. Parking is available around the site in lots and with meters on the street. Be sure to download the App for tours and more information. The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 6PM and on Sunday from noon to 6PM. The Museum is closed Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The Outdoor Symbolic Memorial is a place of quiet reflection and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Designed by Butzer Design Partnership, this Memorial honors the victims, survivors, rescuers, and all who were changed forever on April 19, 1995. It encompasses the now-sacred soil where the Murrah Building once stood, as well as the surrounding area devastated during the attack.

We just visited this memorial and it is quite something. So beautiful. So touching and very, very emotional! We are so happy we went. It brought back sad memories but the memorial exhibits are so well done. Very thoughtful. We highly recommend this beautiful memorial.

bring kleenex. exceptional displays of this sad day in history. more detailed than i expected. beautiful grounds. would have appreciated a tour guide instead of self guided.

The outside memorial, run by the National Park Service, is a serene and sacred space. The chair for everyone killed in the bombing brings home the brutality of the bombing while honoring each life lost. The reflecting pool and gates create a tranquil and emotionally moving space. The museum, which is run by a non profit foundation and has an entry fee, is well worth the visit. It very effectively conveys the chaos, terror and devastating impact of the bomb and how OKC rallied to find and assist survivors. An amazing story of resilience
