Food tour was great on the taste buds. There was a definite focus for local Portland food with emphasis on the history of food in the area. We got to enjoy the main food options of Portland, including lobster roll and chowder. We werenāt pressured to leave before we were ready, leading to us feeling like we had time to enjoy and digest the food we were trying. The tour guide kept an eye on the radar, allowing us to avoid the drenching rain that showed up for ten minutes. However, there were 12 of us on the tour and the tour guide was very soft spoken so it was hard to hear him. He also did his ātour speechesā while we were standing outside which increased the difficulty of hearing him. He talked to small groups while in the restaurant but didnāt really speak to the group as a whole during that time. This could be as a consideration to us eating, but it seemed like a missed opportunity. Overall, it did seem overpriced for what we received. We got sample sizes of everything, which was all delicious and expected sizes for what we were eating. However, it didnāt seem to justify the cost when you looked at the cost on the menu.

Hi Kimberly,
Sorry for our delayed response to your review. We are glad you joined us, and it appears that our only "miss" here was that you did not always hear your guide on this rainy day and you wished he had spoken to you while you were eating. We have spoken and he has read your review and promised to "speak up" when folks can not gather too close together. We both think the weather was likely a factor.
As to being not quite worth the price, please take into consideration that your ticket pays not only for the foods, beverages, servers and tips at all locations, it also pays for the customer support team, the website, the reseller commissions, ticketing fees, salary of your tour guide, and more. We hope you enjoyed not only the foods, but also the experience, and we thank you for joining us.
