Jason G. Was fabulous, lots and lots of historical context along with commentary on the food. All of the selections were well chosen and there was honestly too much food to eat. Lobster roll was a personal favorite but the cinnamon rolls from standard bakery were unbelievable. Would recommend without reservation.

Really a great use of time early in your trip to Portland. Our tour guide, AJ, was fantastic. She was very well plugged into the service industry, which seems very tight nit in the Old Port. As suggested by her, we dropped her name in several other places after the tour, and were rewarded with even kinder service. The stops were very nicely appointed, and done at a great time of day, before anything got too busy (or in some cases, even opened). The food was excellent, and AJ did a wonderful job. She was very professional with her pre-interviews with everyone, and very accommodating to food sensitivities and preferences. I’m not sure if it’s due to COVID, but I sprung for the VP, but only received an extra chocolate at the very end of the tour for it. It wasn’t even mentioned (and to be honest, I forgot about it) prior to that. So I’d say just doing the regular ticket is the right way to go. I very highly recommend going as early as possible in your trip, so you can pick their brain on recommendations, and sample some really cool spots before you set the rest of your plans in stone.

We really enjoyed our walking food tour with Andrew. He made the tour both fun and informative, and the food and drinks were delicious. We will definitely go back to some of the restaurants we visited to enjoy a full meal, though we were only able to snack the rest of the day after our tour because we were so full already! Make sure you go in hungry 👍
