We weren’t happy with the choices the cruise line offered. Luckily we found Maine Foodie Tours. Jayme was a great tour guide loaded with not only local history and architectural points, but really knew how to make your tummy happy! The 6 of us loved the tour she gave. I was totally blown away with the diversity of the food in this quintessential New England town. I’m sorry to say that growing up in coastal Connecticut, I had never tried a lobster roll. But I did know I wanted to try a hot one. WRONG! I am a believer in the cold Lobster Roll now. I’m hooked!! Thank you Jayme for a great time in Portland ME. I would totally recommend this tour, especially as opposed to the cruise ship offering. Thanks again.

The hot buttered kind is actually the staple of your home turf of CT that people regularly and mistakenly think is the Maine way. Going on a foodie tour is like a city welcoming you in thanks to a local tour guide. Our guide Chuck had an adventruous fun spirit. Our tour was comprised of elderly, a child under 5, a bachelorette wknd outing, a real mix that was treated to interesting history, a walk on a beautiful fall day in Portland, and good eats from viniagrettes to lobster rolls to seaweed wrapped fresh tuna. It was a delicious couple of hours. Thank you Chuck.

My favorite food tour to date. Super fun. Delicious and abundant food. (Still thinking about that chowder and the lobster roll...) Interesting guide. Betty really knows the city. if you pick only one thing to do in Portland, pick this. You wont be disappointed,
