Olympic National Park Tour from Seattle

Overview
Olympic National Park is well known for having several different ecosystems to explore: subalpine forest, wildflower meadows, temperate rain-forest, and the rugged Pacific Shore. This twelve hour tour allows you to sample each of these systems with the added advantage of having an experienced guide to answer any questions that may arise. Come explore tide pools along the coastal beaches, roam among old-growth forest, trek atop mountain ridges with breathtaking vistas and stand by glacier-birthed rivers and lakes. The tour begins on a leisurely ferry boat ride over the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula. The exact itinerary will be curated by the tour guide however our first stop will usually find us at Hurricane Ridge where you will hike to an incredible view of the valley below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will move on to Crescent Lake and the seasonally Sol Duc Valley, and a sandy beach along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Please plan on approximately six miles.

This was a new tour for this company. They got so many great reviews on their other tours, I decided to give it a shot. I was worried that I might have wasted my money, especially since the road to hurricane ridge was closed, and it was kind of a wet day. Iā€™m so glad I went, and was pleasantly surprised. Joel had obviously done his homework on the history, folklore, legends, and geology of the park, in addition to just knowing the best places to go, when the most popular stops were closed due to severe weather. Getting picked up from my hotel was nice, the 40 minute ferry ride was fun, and the actual tour was beautiful. There are so many impressive waterfalls, the forests are almost fluorescent with moss, and the diversity of mountains, crystal clear lakes, and tide pools, seem almost impossible to cram all into one day, but this tour has it all. This wasnā€™t a tour for folks who canā€™t walk well. We must have walked 5 miles throughout the day, but I loved it, and recommend it to anyone who wants to get out and see nature.
