Overview

On our one-and-a-half-hour dolphin cruise, you’ll get an up-close view of our resident dolphin pod. Between 50 and 70 dolphins reside together in our bay, and by paying close attention to them over the years, we have named many of them. We know them by their unique dorsal fins and will introduce you to our water-loving friends when you cruise with us aboard the Explorer.

The Explorer allows us to get as close as safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife. Because the boat only needs 16 to 18 inches of water underneath, we can sneak into creeks and swamps where few other boats can go, providing you with a truly unique and memorable experience.

Perfect for families or those just wanting a Dolphin-specific cruise in Orange Beach. Our expert guides can identify many of the resident dolphins and share fun facts about their behaviors, their habitat, and their relationships within the pod.

What To Expect

Orange Beach

Our knowledgeable tour guide and captain point out the local flora and fauna. You may see osprey and their nests, herons, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, and maybe even an alligator or two. The Explorer allows us to get as close as safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife.

The dolphin cruise was WELL WORTH the $35 tickwt. We learned a lot about dolphins. Took some great pictures, and even had a few dolphins within 3 foot of the boat. The boat is a sail boat, so that also adds some romance and adventure to the cruise. Abby was amazing! She cut up with us and taught us how to take great pictures with our phones. She also offers to make a photo for every person on the boat. Captain Dundee (affectionately nickname by us because he looks like Crocodile Dundee) was very informative and let kids steer the boat and tells the passengers what to expect next and where to look for the dolphins. The whole cruise was amazing! Recommend to any and everybody!

Great experience! It was fun for all ages. The crew was so friendly and kind, they ensured everyone on the boat had a good view of the animals and even taught us about the animals we were seeing. They taught us how to interact with the dolphins and even created wakes for the dolphins to play in. The crew was great with the kids and made the trip enjoyable for everyone on board. Highly recommend!!

Everything about this cruise was perfect. The crew was very attentive and the captain let kids steer the boat. We saw a lot of dolphins and got a perfect sunset view on one side of the boat and a lightning show on the other side. This is the most fun activity we have done in Orange Beach!
