What To Expect

Orange Beach

Have you ever experienced a sailing adventure aboard a two-hull sailboat? Two hulls provide stability, ensuring we’re not leaning to one side which provides a smooth ride. Come enjoy a two-hour sail in Orange Beach aboard the Cetacean, a 52-foot Hawaiian catamaran. With the wind in our sails, the Cetacean skims along the waters of Orange Beach, Alabama and Perdido Key, Florida. While out sailing, watch the mesmerizing sight of wildlife in their natural habitat as schools of fish surround the boat, our playful dolphins come to say hello, and marine birds dive into the water for breakfast or lunch. We also often spot bald eagles, egrets, herons, osprey, and seagulls flying by! This relaxing Alabama cruise is perfect for couples, families, and groups of friends. Our knowledgeable tour guide and captain point out the local flora and fauna. You may see osprey and their nests, herons, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, and maybe even an alligator or two. The Explorer allows us to get as close as safely possible to the banks and the local marine and wildlife. Because the boat only needs 16 to 18 inches of water underneath, we can sneak into creeks and swamps where few other boats can go, providing you with a truly unique and memorable experience.

The entire crew were friendly and helpful providing relaxing opportunity to be on a real sailing catamaran AND see dolphins. The captain made sure we also got the sunset. Perfect timing.

Such a great time! Our Captain and steward were fabulous. Very willing to answer questions about the dolphins, seas and surrounding area. We were a party of 8 and there was only one other couple on the boat, so it was great. The dolphins were not as active as I had hoped, but it was early March and a little chilly. We still saw some and even got to guess their names. Some of the dolphins have been named, so make sure you ask for who they are.
