Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

We had a great time on the water. The highlight was of course kayaking into one of the La Jolla caves! Our guide was Tiffany and she was great and super informative. She even had us take a bite of California Kelp -- which is surprisingly tasty! Definitely recommend.

After departing from the beach (through waves-you get wet!), our guide Tom entertainingly explained the geological and biological make up of the area. Very interesting! We even learned about the cliff side homes that will ultimately need to be de-constructed before they fall into the ocean. It was too rough to enter the caves, but we still enjoyed every minute of our trip. The kayak ride is not terribly far (we had kids on tour with us). I would recommend wearing a bathing suit and bringing a towel. You do get wet especially as passing through waves to get out into the open ocean. Fun times ahead with Everyday California!!

Kayaking in the ocean was very fun but pretty strenuous. Only downside was we actually didnā€™t stay in the caves very long. Guide swims in pulling your boat and talks about the caves. Sea lion actually swam right under our kayak which was very cool.
