Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

What a WONDERFUL experience! Our guides were great, the sea cave was awesome, and paddling along on the kayak was an incredible workout!! NEXT time I go I'm not going to wear a cover up - all you need is a suit, waterproof case for your phone to take fun pics and water shoes. I felt a little uncomfortable leaving my NEW sandals on the beach but everyone found theirs when we returned. It was easy to bring a change of clothing and keep in their inexpensive lockers while we were out at sea. They also have rest rooms and changing rooms. Parking was free about 2 blocks away along the street in front of homes. I'll definitely be back with more company!

Weather problematic. high swells, high surf (not dangerous but challening). Caves too dangerous. Guides informative, helpful to inexperienced kayakers. Helped everyone out though the surf, which was very high for those of us used to flat water and no one tipped over. Felt very safe in group.

The description is false in may ways. If you have ever kayaked -- avoid this at all costs. Just rent kayakes from them and go out on your own -- you will see much more. The guide treated us like we were six-year olds -- even though we were all adults. We paddled -- slowly -- to ONE cave -- and waited for 15 minutes while the guide took us in to take a look -- one kayake at a time-- while he swam along to "guide" the kayake. Strange! When the group was done going through the very small, cavelook -- we turned around and paddled back. That was it! No ecosystem tour. And nothing else noted on the description from their website: "explore 3 distinct microhabitats in what the Kumeyaay Native Americans named Woholle or ā€œthe land of holesā€. See the Rose Canyon Fault Line, experience La Jollaā€™s Seven Sea Caves including the breathtaking view from inside The Clam. Throughout the summer months youā€™ll see the biggest Leopard Shark Aggregation in the world. In the winter, witness Gray Whales on their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California. We had a "guide"
