Overview

The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Gavin-fantastic guide! We had a great group. Conditions were such that we couldn’t go into the caves, but still had a blast! First time kayaker-no problems. Ate kelp, learned so much about the area and the sea life.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THROUGH GROUPON!!!! We found a "deal" through Groupon for a kayaking tour and followed the instructions on Groupon to check availability before booking. We checked Everyday California's website and there were plenty of spots available. So we bought the Groupons and tried to book...suddenly their are no spots available and the Groupon is non-refundable and can't be applied to a full price tour!!! The trickery in all of this is that they don't tell you that they only accept a certain number of Groupon bookings and you have to contact them to ask specifically about Groupon availability. They tell you to contact Groupon and then Groupon tells you that you are out of luck because the vendor set the terms as Final Sale. In the spirit of being "helpful" the folks at Everyday California tell you in a super pleasant sounding voice to keep bugging Groupon over and over until they give in and refund your money. It's the most bogus scam ever. BEWARE.

Hey rdspahr1972, We are sorry to hear that you had such a hard time booking your GroupOn. It's our goal to get everyone out on the water to have a fun time, so it's unfortunate it didn't work out. GroupOn saves over 40 spots a day for people to reserve and once the ticket is bought the customer has 90 days to find a time that works. We have extended the promotional offer through the fall and into the first week of March 2020. Like any discounted ticket, they sell first, so availability is limited. We will keep trying our best to ensure that customers like yourself call us before they purchase anything. We could have checked the availability for you and better assisted you through the process. It sounds like you looked on our website which only shows available kayaks at full price through us, not third party social buy sites. We hope this helps for the future and hopefully get a chance to show you guys the beauty of La Jolla Shores.
