Sure you could just watch from the beach or your hotel lanai, but a front row seat out on the water, sipping some cocktails, enjoying some awesome pupus (appetizers) and hanging with fun people sounds more appealing. Wife and I did the sunset sail and the experience was well worth the money. The crew was amazing, taking care of everybody on board, making drinks, playin excellent hosts, navigating the boat, and even DJing the night (with a great selection of music). We didn’t see any whales unfortunately, but even without seeing whales, the experience itself was well worth it.

Whoohoo! This was one of the best parts of my visit to Maui. Amazing!!! The crew was fab, especially liked Molly, but everyone was so friendly and fun! We saw hundreds of dolphins jumping around the boat, it was unbelievable. We sat up front in the netting area and had the best view! Drinks flowed freely and the appetizers were yummy, the chicken bites were really good! If you do one thing it Maui, do this! Great deal, fabulous experience!!!

Started following random sail companies on IG and seamaui had the most fun and interesting commentary, video and pictures. Plus they responded quickly with messages. We booked it 3 mths in advance not knowing the weather. This sail was yesterday, saturday april 28. We werent expecting much except for a blustery sail with drinks... bc from thursday friday snd saturday all we had was low cloud cover, rain, dismal grey weather all around. We had fun despite the weather, drinks were good as was the food and crew... right up to the sail back to the beach... lo and behold, the crept out and we saw it as we listened to billy joel. Would recommend seamaui. Expect to get wet, getting on and getting off the boat.
