My family and I (2adults, 3 kids 17,10,9) booked the Manatee Encounter Tour and let me tell you, it was amazing!! We learned so much about Florida nature and wildlife! The scenery was beautiful and kayaking was relaxing. Our guide, Jimi, was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area, history, and wildlife. We saw many manatees, eagles, gators, great blue herring, many active fish, so many birds I have never seen! This is a day the my family will always remember. I would highly recommend this tour for new or experienced kayakers and would not hesitate to return for another tour.

Three of us joined the group, lead by Jimmy on the St. Johns River. It was a nice easy going trip filled with wildlife. We were thrilled to see manatees swimming just below our kayaks and occasionally poking through the surface, especially being so late in the season. Jimmy was very knowledgeable, and instructed us on how to paddle safely in the waters around the manatees. He pointed out each of the waterfowl and other birds, including the wild turkeys, with whom he communicated with using recordings on his phone - very creative! Then there were the alligators! Wow! All in all a great time.

My family really enjoyed our kayaking trip with Eric. It was a BLAST! I was hoping we’d get to see at least maybe one or two manatee because it’s so late into March, BUT we saw a bunch (thanks to the unseasonably cool weather). It was absolutely amazing! Besides all the manatee we saw a couple gators, turtles and several birds including an eagle. Eric was really knowledgeable, we liked him a lot. Also, be sure to use the bathroom before you come!
