There is no minimum age however all participants must know how to swim
It is recommended that you bring a swimsuit, towel, waterproof camera and wear clothes that can get wet and possibly dirty
To ensure a proper size kayak is available, please provide your individual heights and weights at the time of booking
There is no restroom at the meeting location. There is a public restroom at Valentine Park (1511 W French Ave, Orange City, FL 32763) about a mile before you arrive the meeting location that we recommend you use before your tour.

We really enjoyed our kayak trip with awesome guides Bill and Jeff through the waters around Blue Springs state park. There were 9 of us including 5 kids age ranging from 9-14...the kids did great and our guides kept things interesting with their knowledge of the area... We were able to see up close manatee, alligators, turtles, and many beautiful birds... the trip down the narrow Snake Creek was the highlight for us... highly recommend this trip for those families that want a break from the Orlando sites and who want to see the beautiful and wild side of central Florida.

We toured on February 9th with Matt. He was very informative about all of the flora and fauna along the river - we viewed many species of birds and a few gators in addition to the manatees. Matt also shared the photos and videos he took during the tour, which was a nice bonus. We had a total of 6 paddlers in our group, so it was a small, manageable size. We'd highly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this tour. The driving instructions were perfect and we made it there easily. Matt was our tour guide and he was beyond fantastic. First off, he acquainted us with the essential information; life vests, kayaks and oars. Then he helped all of us in the river, and the group was off on our adventure. Matt was extremely knowledgeable about the trees, vegetation and wildlife on our tour. We all learned a lot. The tour lasted for 3 hours, and we made 2 stops (at the beginning and end of the tour) at the warm water spring where the manatees like to hang out. We saw at least 20 Manatees and had some great up close encounters with these beautiful, gentle creatures. We also explored the St. John’s River and some small creeks off of it. We saw a bald eagle, black and turkey vultures, herons, an owl, and many other birds I can’t recall the names of. We also saw baby gators and many turtles. It was an incredible experience, we all felt very safe with Matt, and we learned a lot. Will repeat the next time we’re in the area.
