We've done this tour 3 years in a row, Jim was our guide this year and his knowledge of the area did not disappoint. We saw all kinds of birds, turtles, young gators and of course the main attraction - the manatees, we like going on the 9 A.M. tour, very peaceful and much less crowded on the water all around. Highly recommend this tour.

We went out for the 09:00 kayak tour to see some Manatees. We met Astrid at the designated place near the river. She was very social and hospitable right from the initial introduction. Her briefing was succinct, yet thorough on safety procedures and what to expect from the tour. She took us over to the sanctuary entrance where the manatees "might" come out to visit. With wild animals we knew that any encounter was not guaranteed. We saw only a couple initially. Astrid then took us on a tour of some other areas (lots of birds, turtles and gators), explaining the various animales, vegetation and a bit about the area. We did this with the intent to circle back to the sanctuary when the manatees might come around later. We did and it was not disappointing - manatees everywhere! It was an amazing trip, and when

Astrid was just fantastic. Knowledgeable. It was clear her interest was that we were safe, enjoying ourselves and learning about the willflufe we encounteted. Her personality was charming. A great time, worth every penny.
