Paddling in Florida with Manatees

Overview

Manatees! No prior experience needed! You too can Paddle with Sea Monsters! These up to 12 foot long one ton air breathing mammals are the gentlest of the giants of the underwater world! Join us for a passive observation paddle that often results in OMG moments of delight and amazement! Chilly Florida nights in the 40's and 50's brings the manatees to the springs seeking the year round 72 degree spring water. Being that they are a protected/endangered species we'll take a few minutes before the tour to make sure everyone knows the rules and laws surrounding manatees. You'll enjoy paddling on a board, standing or sitting, within a manatee wildlife refuge. Passively observing these giants and other eco wonders during a 2-hour tour with a guide. This unique Florida experience is sure to be the highlight of your vacation and will you make smile every time you recall these magical moments. All equipment is provided. 13 and under are free to ride on their parents board.

No Charge! Children under 13 are free to ride on their parents board. Please add their weight with yours when registering.
Must know how to swim to paddle your own board.
Children 6 and under must wear a vest.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start to check in.
Cold and sunny is good. Windy is bad.
When its cold we don't usually see alligators. For 12 years we have a 100% safety record. You are safe with us.

Absolutely do not “brush aside” this Adventure! Treat yourself to the remarkably Amiable paddle gathering! Set worry aside and spur on! Good-humored, Good natured Ned is awe-inspiring. Never fails, somebody gets lost. I called in to Tyler, Tyler called Ned, Tyler called me: “Ned just tried to call you!” He didn’t leave without us! Wow, right? I got out and made my way to the group, while my wonderful husband parked. Instantly, Ned saw me and greeted me by name like we have been long time friends! In that moment, it became clear why he is widely known and esteemed! I well understand how beings discount SUP, Self convinced I couldn’t do it! I assure you you can and you will love it!!! You absolutely must paddle with the illustrious, Tom! Blue Springs is a splendor of nature, it’s unwittingly assuasive! I encourage everyone sign up! You will be amazed!

This was a perfect first time for us. Ned is a really good teacher. We enjoy every moments. Nice equipment, crystal clear water. Will go back for sure. Ned have a "un je ne sais quoi" talent for teaching paddling board.

We booked a Manatee tour two weeks ago. Just prior to our trip we were contacted about cancelling because the Manatees have moved on. We kept the reservation and we are so glad we did. Uncle Ned was amazing and made all of us from beginner to seasoned feel safe and comfortable. The scenery was breathtaking and our guided was the greatest. I can't wait to book my next trip.
