Overview

Manatees! No prior experience needed! You too can Paddle with Sea Monsters! These up to 12 foot long one ton air breathing mammals are the gentlest of the giants of the underwater world! Join us for a passive observation paddle that often results in OMG moments of delight and amazement! Chilly Florida nights in the 40's and 50's brings the manatees to the springs seeking the year round 72 degree spring water. Being that they are a protected/endangered species we'll take a few minutes before the tour to make sure everyone knows the rules and laws surrounding manatees. You'll enjoy paddling on a board, standing or sitting, within a manatee wildlife refuge. Passively observing these giants and other eco wonders during a 2-hour tour with a guide. This unique Florida experience is sure to be the highlight of your vacation and will you make smile every time you recall these magical moments. All equipment is provided. 13 and under are free to ride on their parents board.

No Charge! Children under 13 are free to ride on their parents board. Please add their weight with yours when registering.
Must know how to swim to paddle your own board.
Children 6 and under must wear a vest.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start to check in.
Cold and sunny is good. Windy is bad.
When its cold we don't usually see alligators. For 12 years we have a 100% safety record. You are safe with us.

We had an absolutely fabulous and great fun trip with Ned and the Blue Spring manatees. Neither of us has paddleboarded before but Ned is clearly extremely experienced at getting newbies going and uses his self-designed boards which are very stable. We were gently paddling away the St John's river in 15 mins flat (including Ned's briefing on how to safely be around the manatees without bothering them). Ned's long experience means you stand the best chance of encountering manatees close up (we were treated to several coming right up to us and swimming under our boards) and we also saw a decent sized gator and lots of birds as we gently paddled down the river. It really was the most enjoyable and serene way to be on the water, Ned is an interesting guy and really great company. I can't recommend trying paddle boarding highly enough and Ned's Paddleboard Orlando completely deserves its superb reputation.

I have so many good things to say about our tour and tour guide that I barely know where to start!! We did a private manatee tour along the St John River and into Blue Springs National Park and the location is just amazing, absolutely beautiful and so many manatee's. It was amazing to share the water with them!! I was very nervous of the idea of paddle boarding (was scared I wouldn't be able to stand up on the board let alone travel anywhere on it!) But Ned was amazing, he was understanding and patient. Most importantly he really built up my confidence up!! We are heading back to Florida in April and we'll definitely be visiting Ned again!

Enjoyed a beautiful day on the water at Blue Springs State Park with Paddleboard Orlando. Such a great way to spend your morning enjoying the water and all the nature around you. Everything was well organized and the guides (Ned and Trip) were, as they always are, friendly, helpful and a whole lot of fun! I paddle with other groups and this one is top notch from start to finish. Can't wait for my next paddling adventure with them!
