National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific

Punchbowl Crater is an extinct volcanic tuff cone located in Honolulu, It serves as a memorial to honor those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who have given their lives in doing so.

Downtown Honolulu

Honolulu is home to some of Oahu’s most historic places. Next to the skyscrapers of the island main business district you will find important landmarks like the Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha statue, the Kawaiahao Church and the Aloha Tower. This area is also the seat of Hawaii’s government, home to the Hawaii State Capitol, Washington Place and Honolulu Hale.

Took the USS Arizona Tour with my two teenage sons and Kenny as our driver/guide. Kenny was full of information and extremely clear in our directions. The visitors' center is worth some time and has great exhibits about Pearl Harbor and the build-up to the attack. The trip to the USS Arizona memorial is powerful and poignant, helped by the Park Service guide at the memorial itself. The tour is unable to stop in the National Cemetery of the Pacific which is a shame as it too is very powerful and deserving of a little more time but the authorities do not permit tour buses to stop. all in all, this was a great trip for an ideal length of time.

We booked a 4 hour tour of Pearl Harbor. Along with that tour we had a pick up/drop off near our hotel which was awesome! We rode in a double-decked bus which was fun! Reynold was our driver, he was fantastic and gave us lots of tidbits of info about the island as he drove us to Pearl Harbor! It was great, we could highly recommend this tour!
