Punchbowl Crater is an extinct volcanic tuff cone located in Honolulu, It serves as a memorial to honor those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who have given their lives in doing so.

Downtown Honolulu

Honolulu is home to some of Oahu’s most historic places. Next to the skyscrapers of the island main business district you will find important landmarks like the Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha statue, the Kawaiahao Church and the Aloha Tower. This area is also the seat of Hawaii’s government, home to the Hawaii State Capitol, Washington Place and Honolulu Hale.

The memorial is a beautiful tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives that fateful Sunday morning, December 7, 1941. We all enjoyed the tour very much and highly recommend it. Please remember to thank anyone you know who is or was in the military for their service and be grateful for your freedom. You owe it to them and you will never understand why you do more than during your visit to Pearl Harbor.

The tour company, Karma tours was great with their communication. They called us the day before to notify us that one of the boats to USS Arizona had broken down and they may need to rearrange some of the timings. They accommodated our group of 8 people without a glitch. The pickup from our hotel was right on time. Our tour guide, Golden Child (Chris) was informative on the way to Pearl Harbor and showed many of the city sights. Once at Pearl Harbor, he gave us our tickets with explanation of what to except. We had no problems having to wait in lines and boarded the boat at the given time. The memorial was a great learning experience and we even were able to do the submarine tour. On the way back, we received a guided city tour of Honolulu which was a nice bonus. Overall, a wonderful experience!
