Punchbowl Crater is an extinct volcanic tuff cone located in Honolulu, It serves as a memorial to honor those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who have given their lives in doing so.

Next to the skyscrapers of the island main business district you will find important landmarks like the Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha statue, the Kawaiahao Church and the Aloha Tower. This area is also the seat of Hawaii’s government, home to the Hawaii State Capitol, Washington Place and Honolulu Hale.

Our tour guide got lost twice getting to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. We didn’t have time to visit the museums or anything else. He was not very knowledgeable on the city tour either. The van was not very easy to get into. We contacted the company to complain and they said they would do something about it but haven’t heard back after 10 days. Book another tour with a more reliable company!

Our guide was helpful and friendly. He was also knowledgeable about the area and details about the historic site and area. We did go on a bit of a city tour. The tour could have been longer as there were other sites that we could have spent more time at. Pick up was prompt and we were back at the Cruise ship in plenty of time before departure.

Hawaii was a bucket list destination for us, and one of the reasons why we wanted to visit was to go to Pearl Harbour. We were not disappointed, it is a beautiful, fitting memorial.
