It was overall a great tour, we saw a lot and Alicia gave us so much information, I highly recommend it. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because we were misled when purchasing our tickets. We were told that we would get to go close to the Hollywood sign and get out to take photos for a few minutes. When I asked the tour guide she said that it had been removed from the tour. Alicia was so great though and felt bad we were misled, she went out of her way to get us as close as possible for some really amazing photos! She also gave us a great recommendation for a dinner spot, El Cholo, it was excellent! The margaritas and fajitas were delicious! Thank you Alicia!

A 14 year old granddaughter took the tour and it was delightful. Our driver/guide was Alicia and she went out of her way to be sure the young people on the bus enjoyed it as much as the older crowd. Alicia shared a LOT of information throughout the day, and gave us detailed explanations for when/where the pickups would be. Nobody was ever left wondering where the bus was! I'd read so much about how seedy the walk of fame is and how some people felt threatened by the panhandlers, so I was a bit concerned about the granddaughter. I don't know if we were lucky or if it's been cleaned up, but aside for the occasional people trying to slip CDs in our hands - which happens in many other congested cities - we didn't see any of that. The stops were all sufficient for what we were expected to see and do, and Alicia gave us plenty of information before we got off the bus so we had some ideas of what we would choose to do. It was a long day and 14 year olds can be notoriously bored, but we both agreed it was a perfect way to see the things we wanted to see.

I was looking around for a guided tour of LA and happened to meet Gerald at the Santa Monica Pier, talking to a tourist about the Surf City tour. He gave me a good deal and and I was happy to get a seat on the bus with Talib (our tour guide). It was a great experience going through the streets of Beverly Hills and Hollywood. The stops gave us enough time to look around and shop for souvenirs and some good food at the Farmers Market (The Grove). Talib has a great sense of humor and kept us in splits as we drove around the city. The weather too was perfect. Thanks to the Team at the Surf City (Gerald, Brian and Talib) for making this a fun day in LA!
