Overview

Petrópolis a city in Rio de Janeiro State also known such as Imperial City. It was the first planned city construction of Brazil and modern world in 19th century. The Imperator Dom Pedro II, in 1843 made the region as his summer staying, ten years later in 1853 the first brewery of Brazil was founded in Petrópolis, but in 1898 was renamed Bohemia.

Interesting city to visit to get away from the heat of Rio. The main reason to visit is the Royal Summer Palace and it’s well laid out with interesting artifacts from the 1800’s mainly. The brewery was ok and full of facts about brewing beer. The lunch was ok but lacked quality. Just a low cost buffet. The chocolate cafe was a bit of a waste of time. The main downside was the time spent rounding up everyone and then dropping them off. Picked up at 7:30 finally left Rio at 9:30. Got back at 7:30 dropped off at 9:15. That was toooo much. They need a better system.

The trip and the guide were great, but we have to wait every time we have a stop for people to come to the buss .Was very disrespectful to the rest of us who came on time. The company must change their policy about the waiting time .

My favorite tour from my travel to Brazil! The staff was really kind and responsable. They look for everyone to be ok and on time always haha. Dont miss the visit to Bohemia!! It was the soo cool!
