What To Expect

Liberty Bell Center

Depart New York through New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the "City of Brotherly Love"—Philadelphia.

Congress Hall

Arriving in the historical center of Philadelphia, visit the famous Liberty Bell, one of the symbols of freedom in America, as well as Constitution Square and Congress Hall.

Elfreth's Alley

Stroll Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited street in America.

Rocky Statue

Continue on a panoramic tour of Philadelphia that includes the Financial District, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Historic Philadelphia, and more. Departing the city, you'll see the famous “Rocky Steps,” before continuing east to Lancaster County, the traditional home of the Amish people.

Amish Country

Start your time in Amish country with a ride on an authentic Amish horse-drawn buggy that you through Amish farm country. Learn how this traditional community lives without the benefit of modern technology: no electricity, running water, telephone services, or appliances. After the ride, visit the marketplace where you can shop for handmade arts crafts and products. In the late afternoon depart east for your evening arrival back in NYC.

Really enjoyed this trip - Marco was very entertaining guide. Hint to the inexperienced - make sure to take water and snacks as food stops are limited.

I like the tour but I was expecting more specially when we went to the Amish Country Day.

The only reason I haven't given this trip five starts is because I think the sites in Philadelphia were more relevant to US citizens; the Liberty Bell, US constitution etc. I would have liked a little more time to see what appeared to be a beautiful city.
The bus was great, the tour guide charming, funny, knowledgeable and friendly. The way the different nationalities and our needs were met worked very well as each language group had it's own guide who spoke that language.
I loved the Amish country part of the trip. The buggy trip was wonderful - I usually find this kind of thing too touristy. Obviously it was - the public face of a very private community - but it gave a more intimate insight into the Amish world than anything I've coma across. Even the 'market' - a very manufactured shopping outlet - offered retailers of Amish furniture and goods if you looked. The country-side and farms were stunning, almost like a film set. I felt like I'd stepped into 'Witness'.
The whole trip ran to time, without making us feel bullied into rushing through things. I would highly recommend this.
