A great experience and a welcome quiet day away from the hustle and bustle of New York. The time taken in the coach journey to and from New York was easily absorbed by interesting commentary from our tour guide on the way out, and a DVD n the way back. There was also fee WiFi on the coach that allowed us to catch up with our emails. Philadelphia was fascinating and even though we are from Australia, to see the birthplace of the USA constitution, sit in the first parliament chamber, stand beside the Liberty Bell, walk down USA's first street and visit the house where the first USA flag was designed, was an experience not to be missed. The Amish country wasn't as we'd expected as the Amish country is actually Amish people living amongst others, not an area specifically dedicated solely to the Amish way of life, but that fact alone made it even more interesting. To ride in an Amish buggy, travel through the Amish farm, watch an Amish man plough his field using four draft horses (not part of the tour, we were lucky) while today's modern world whirled around us was like living simultaneously in two periods of time. An experience not to be missed.
Whislestop tour of Philadelphia (get to see the Liberty Bell, a market and thats it...and the Rocky Statue)...and slightly more time in Amish County....nice horsetrip...but everything is so rushed, you dont have time to breath.....Guide extremely rude and arrogant and very demanding for tips at the end
Excellent tour and tour company. Well organised and tour guide was very knowledgable. Highly recommend tour if you want to see some other sites besides New York. Very interesting and informative stops along the way. Long day though. Great that bus has wi-fi and plays a movie on way back.
